Can a person have his baptism nuliified if he was too young when baptised?
by William Penwell ini know this was discussed not that long ago on here but can a person have his baptism nullified if he was too young when baptized?
the reason i ask is that i have a friend that said he was baptized at 14. i was mentioning that i read somewhere on this and told him i would get back to him.
if so, how does one proceed with doing this and is there a sample letter he could use?

Any help would be much appreciated.

A possible way to get JWs info w/out incriminating oneself?
by ithinkisee ini have an idea on how to get information in a way that won't get you identified ... i wanted to put it to this forum for scrutiny before i actually put it into practice.
i am on several people's jw spam list.
.meaning they constantly send me the same things that go around in other circles, like the "send this to five friends" or they send the scriptures for the week's book study, or they send a "jws in the news" article or something like that.

Good idea, I think I would just make some subtle changes to the original email and resent it back to them.

JW Lawyers getting fed up with cleaning up after the GB?
by ithinkisee ini hope that those that are jw lawyers get tired of the governing body and quit bethel because of the bull shit theyv'e had to clean up after the gb.
it may be happening right now.
think about it the gb have issued the call for more lawyers to the congregations,, perhaps there is some disloyalty growing towards the gb being manifested in the legal department and the gb needs help desparately.

It was so long ago and I was under so much stress at the time, I really can't recall what it was all about. I think you were correct, it was something to do with custody of the children and bringing reproach on the organization. It did come out like a threat and knowing my ex wasn't the most intelligent person, she must have been fed the information from somewhere. Anyway like I said I was not in a position at the time to fight them and had to let it go. Now they are away from their mom and I don't hold back what I think of the organization. They have no use of the religion and throw out the
magsrags my ex sends them every month. It took a few years but I did get back at them eventually. Will
Kiss my butt WT you bunch of hypocritical AH.

Does the society provide lawyers for divorce cases? The reason why I asked is I recall when I was going through my divorce I made some threating remarks toward the soceity andf my ex made some funny comment that better not go there, that the society would provide her with legal counsel... I didn't pursue it but things have a way of back firing because 10 years later my kids don't want anything to do with the cult.

Forgiveness, How Far Do You Take It?
by prophecor inhas it ever happened to you, something so dispicable you would rather go to your grave, not having forgiven someone a wrong they had done you, hopeful that god would sort it out in the end?
mind you, i know things like child molestation, rape and murder are things for which it is difficult, if not impossible, to be forgiving of.
that being said, where does one draw the line on forgiveness?
-
William Penwell
I have no problem forgiving a person but I have to say over the years I do not forget. I other words if a friend borrows money off of me and doesn't pay it back, I will forgive them but I sure wouldn't loan them anymore money.
prophecor
Also I do forgive you for using that awful color on your print font. lol

1975??????
by whyamihere ini have a question....what did you all think dec 31st 1975 right before 1976 hit?
then after it turned 1976 what did you all think after that?
i never asked that question before.

The kicker came when the Tower started loosing members, and blamed the remaining ones for putting trust in the crap they spread! That was my turning point, not the failure of 1975, but the Tower's shameful treatment and attempted coverup. As most abusers do, the Tower blamed their victim.
I was a young man then to and bought all the hype of 1975. When it came and went I was left very disillusioned by religion in general. I gave up my best years for that cult and what thank you did I get? They blamed us that put trust in the organization. AS someone else said in an earlier post, I would I am a forgiving sort of person and if the WT would have a least admitted their culpability that they were in error I would have accepted it as a human mistake and moved on.

Addictions,, are they caused by a deep unfulfilled need for Spirtuality??
by frankiespeakin ini was watching a video "the wisdom of the dream" volume 3 it's all about carl jung.
in one part of the video it talks about addictions and brings up the fact that one of the men that started aa, was a man who was told by c. jung that the only way for him to cure his addiction to alcohol was for him to have a religious experience,, he was also warn by jung that if he didn't have a religios experience he would never cure his addiction.
jungs notes about this subject says: "spiritus contra spiritum" .

A spirituality is good but by taking up a religion you are only replacing one addiction with another.

You maybe right I don't think I would put money against the terminator, considering there is enough, small minded, biggoted people around that would vote him back in. Although I think he is smart enough if he thinks he would not get back in to run a second term.

as there is not one shred of evidence of a divine Jesus, savior, redeemer, dying on a cross and being resurrected three days later and going to "Heaven" in the flesh....
I have read a number of books on the topic including the Jesus Mysteries. Your correct the Gospel accounts were written years after Jesus had died based on oral stories. They mixed up the pagan mythologies with the Jesus stories to make Jesus devine.
